In mid-September, the Synesis One leadership team met in Seoul, South Korea for another quarterly in-person grokking session. The short, but productive period of 4 days resulted in some major changes for the company.
Here’s a summary of the updates.
Team Restructuring
Isaac Bang, formerly the Head of Growth, will now assume the role as CEO of Synesis One. Paul Lee will be remaining as Cofounder and be focusing primarily on the growth and monetization of the partnership between Mind AI and Synesis One. As CEO, Isaac Bang will assume the responsibility of all day-to-day operations in addition to shaping the direction of the company moving forward.
Tracy Spaight as Head of Gamification has also transitioned out, and was followed by a new member, Mael, to help grow the worker community, which will likely become the foundation for Synesis DAO. We particularly appreciate Tracy’s contribution to the growth of our community during his tenure at Synesis One as one of its founding members. He will move on to focus on more gaming initiatives.
The Main Focus
The reorganization of the leadership team was made to maximize the efficiency of each members’ time and strengths. After launching the data crowdsourcing platform on Solana Mainnet, we had a few directions that we could take for growing Synesis One. After deliberation, we have decided on the following.
For the foreseeable future, our singular focus will be on optimizing and monetizing the current partnership that we have with Mind AI. There are three main reasons for this decision.
First, our platform and app was mainly built and optimized to collect natural language data that Mind AI requires to train its AI. This will help us reduce development costs and execute with a singular focus with what we have built. We still plan on expanding the capabilities to support other types of raw data and data processing capabilities including video, image, audio, etc. in the future when we begin onboarding other AI clients.
Second, Mind AI is at an inflection point in its growth as an AI startup. In the last few weeks leading up to this blog article, Mind AI has signed a deal with Hyundai Motors and a huge government contract in India. It is currently in other early discussions with another government entity, and leads are coming in hot. The size of the projects will be immense, so the data requirements for Mind AI will also grow exponentially. This means that the number of campaigns on Synesis One will increase exponentially, and so will the revenue generated from the platform fees.
Lastly, the use cases and commercialization of Mind AI has been evolving from conversational AI to robotic process automation (RPA). As it continues to expand its capabilities, we envision that the types of campaigns that we launch on Synesis One will also evolve. Since we already have the infrastructure built out, it will most likely be minor development work to implement these incremental changes to support new campaign types demanded by Mind AI.
A window into the future
We have begun increasing the number of work available on Synesis One already. With the new changes in our leadership and focus, you can expect to see more activity within our builder and validator community on Discord. We will also begin to publish more blog posts explaining some of the deals that Mind AI has closed, what to look forward to in the coming campaigns, and how the data collected will be used in real world commercial use cases.
